Cultural Consultant and Philanthropist


Monica Salinas obtained a BA degree at Antioch University, Los Angeles in 1984 and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from California Graduate Institute in 1991. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California, and in addition to psychotherapy her work focuses on all aspects of social and cultural issues facing Latinos. Dr. Salinas also regularly holds forums for Latino parents in the Los Angeles Unified School District, focusing on parenting and communication skills. These unique forums have been created specifically to provide cultural knowledge and tools in order to maximize opportunities for success in the United States.
